ok, so….Rupert was having trouble peeing. Now he is having to stay overnight at the emergency vet and I am down at least $400.  fml.

to respond to eric’s query… the kept him overnight with an iv so he’d be less dehydrated. apparently there are struvite crystals in his urine, which can cause blockages and ultimately lead to renal failure.  so i have to feed him wet food mixed with water so that he gets more fluids. and he’s on antibiotics and pain meds. sigh.
